PLA and PPA straws still need specific industrial facilities to degrade. These industrial methods used to degrade materials is harmful to the environment and defeats the purpose of using the product in the first place.

Z-ECO Straws decompose naturally as they are made of natural plant fibers, bio-based polymers (no plastic) and have a low environmental impact. Z-ECO Straws are therefor 100% biodegradable and home compostable.
